2013 Palmaris Outer Coastal Plain Petit Verdot Reserve
This wine is blend composed of three grapes all grown in the Outer Coastal Plain, 79% Petit Verdot, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Cabernet Franc. The musts were fermented in contact with the skins for 14 days and were vinified using a yeast strain originally isolated from the Languedoc terroir. The wines were fermented individually and then transferred to a combination of French and American oak in December 2013. Malo-lactic fermentation was effectuated and the wines remained in oak until April 2016 when they were blended and bottled in May of that year. Production is limited.
